Ana Ábalos Ramos
Ana Ábalos (Master’s Professional Degree in Architecture) studied architecture at UPV- Universitat Politécnica de València. She obtained her Doctorate in Architecture with her thesis ‘A&P Smithson: The Transient and the Permanent’, supervised by Dirk Van den Heuvel (TU Delft) and Debora Domingo Calabuig (UPV). She also holds a Scientific Master degree in Architectural Design from the UPV (2012) which obtained with her dissertation “From the ‘Machine d’habiter’ to the ‘Art of Inhabitation’. She has been exhibition curator and has published several articles on architecture.
She has been Visiting Professor at the Stuckeman School of Architecture in Pennsylvania State University (US) and at the Escuela de Arquitectura in Universidad USAT (Peru) and Assistant Professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain). At present she is teaching in the School of Architecture at the University CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia (Spain).
As co-director, she has joint responsibility for architectural research direction as well as taking overall responsibility for the management of the practice. She is a registered architect in Spain since 2004.
