Reusing pharma laboratories

The building stands out due to the rationalist composition of its façade. The intervention focuses on release the balcony from the structural dividing walls which original construction technique did not permit, and recompose the overall façade as a carpentry solution that evoques the traditional wooden blinds of the local rationalism.

The building, used as a pharmaceutical laboratory since the first half of the 20th century, stands out due to the rationalist composition of its façade. The integral rehabilitation of the building consists of recovering the property, turning it over to housing.
The intervention on the façade consists of promoting the original rationalist solution, releasing the balcony from the structural dividing walls which technology did not permit then, and recomposing the overall building as a carpentry solution that reinterprets the traditional wooden blinds of the local rationalist buildings.
